New NIH award to study Apicomplexan Cell Division Plasticity

We are excited to start work on the transcriptional programs and gene contents of the various apicomplexan cell division modules. We will target this by single cell RNA and ATAC sequencing, followed by assembling causative transcriptional maps to generate hypothesis and provide candidate genes for validation. This is a 3-way project between our lab (Toxoplasma and Sarcocystis), Dr. Manoj Duraisingh's lab at the Harvard School of Public Health (Plasmodium and Babesia) and Dr. Kourosh Zarringhalam at the University of Massachusetts Boston (Computational Biology)
